about

"Johnny Cash" is the 4th chapter from the book 'You're Not Rob Snarski - Crumbs from the Cake' as read by Rob Snarski (UWA Publishing 2017)
_____________________________________________________

Rob Snarski is a singer, a velvet-voiced troubadour.

From Melbourne to Europe and all points in between, Rob shares his observations and insights from the music world he has performed in, the people he has worked with, his family, the domesticated animals he has loved, and the things he’s had to do to pay the rent.

His musical life began as a ten-year-old, playing a very heavy 120 button accordion gifted to him by his grandmother. He took up the guitar in his teens and formed Chad’s Tree in the 1980’s with his singer, songwriter brother Mark.

Rob has toured the globe with The Blackeyed Susans and as a guest
vocalist with The Triffids and has graced the same stage as Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen and Nico among others not quite as popular.

These recollections and photographs uncover a delicate humour in the man who remains a dedicated follower of music and the musicians who have influenced him.
